Find Great Display Ideas by Doing Your Homework...

In order to be remembered at your next tradeshow a great display exhibit is more than half the battle. Companies who are truly successful when it comes to the tradeshow world are constantly looking for new and creative tradeshow design ideas so they can stay on top of the tradeshow game; which in turn means changing up their booth displays with new innovative designs that will allow them to stand out from the tradeshow room floor competition, along with increasing tradeshow attendee traffic, and finally enhancing brand image and company awareness amongst potential clients.

Mastering the effective tradeshow fundamentals when it comes to a great exhibit requires a number of elements including careful planning, developing a high impact creative design, including a professional/knowledgeable staff, along with a meaning promotion and finishing it all off with a timely follow-up of all potential sales leads. This seems simple enough but the key involves actually executing all of these methods in a very unique and captivating way. This can make the difference between you outdoing your competition and fulfilling your companies/small businesses objectives and exceeding your revenue goals.

By simply doing some good research and finding out what is available to you in regards to tradeshow ideas/exhibiting strategies can take you half the way to all of your tradeshow dreams and goals.

An often overlooked device to getting some great ideas involves sending a trusted member of your business to do some good old reconnaissance work at tradeshows. While attending a couple tradeshow events (as a visitor and not exhibitor) that involve themes that are both within and outside your businesses market, will be a great eye opening adventure. By simply walking through the tradeshow floor from the non-exhibiting side will allow you to run a covert op where you can even examine what potential competitors are doing. By surveying the exhibits in existence you can get an idea of which display elements seem to draw in a crowd (aka...the ones with a lot of traffic and seem to be interacting with certain elements of certain companies displays). Also it is a great way to catch wind of what sorts of promotional concepts are creating the biggest amount of buzz along the tradeshow floor and crowd. I am not saying to copy these ideas exactly but hey why re-invent the wheel. You might pick up on a couple of simple design elements or promotional strategies that you can easily adapt to your own exhibit or company profile.

It is also a great time to be able to interact with your potential customers and mix it up on the tradeshow floor. You can ask other attendees what they find interesting about certain exhibits or what promotional items they felt were the best.

Being at these tradeshows from another perspective is also a good time to take note of display booths that do not have a lot of traffic. Learning from others mistakes is a great way to prevent your company from doing the same. And finally take this opportunity to talk with the staff at exhibits when they aren't busy to find out what techniques they are using to attract prospects and to close those all important sales. Doing your own marketing research like this could prove the best tradeshow decision you make.
